The K. R. Shah
Foundation was incorporated in May 2007 by Chetan Shah to help
individuals in need of financial support for their education and health
care needs. Chetan has a graduate degree in Computer Science and has
been an active Hospice volunteer since 2004. K. R. Shah Foundation
reflects Chetan's passion for community service and his commitment to
promote education and better health care. Currently the foundation
offers $500 grant to students and hospice patients. Over next five
years the foundation will increase number of grants, grant amount and
sell products (proceeds of which will be committed for grant making).
Mission
K. R. Shah Foundation is a non profit organization. It seeks to :
- Provide education
opportunities to financially challenged candidates.
- Provide health care
opportunities to financially challenged patients.
Goals
- Help full time college students by providing financial support towards their tuition expenses.
- Help hospice patients by providing financial support for their health care needs.
Objectives
- Provide US$500 fellowship to a student by December
2008
- Provide US$500 financial grant to a hospice patient
by December 2008

Strengths :
- The
foundation's commitment to dedicate 100% of the funds received to grant
making. Directors take full financial responsibility of administration
costs.
- No compensation paid to foundation's officers and

creation opportunities. Foundation's directors strive to create and

Target
Audience and Promotion Strategy
The target audience for the foundation is :
- Currently
enrolled students pursuing their college degree and are facing
financial challenges in paying for their tuition fees.
- Currently registered hospice patients needing
financial support.
The
foundation will exclusively use Internet as its promotion strategy.
During next year the foundation plans to engage in the following
promotion efforts.
- Up to date website (www.krshah.org) with latest news.
- E-newsletters to interested parties.
- Buzz marketing, leveraging existing grant recipients
Budget
The
foundation will commit 100% of funds received by donors to program
funds. Administration costs will be covered by foundation's directors.

The
amounts are subject to change due to funds availability. The amounts
have been derived on the assumption that the application for “Matching
Grants” will approved by Bank of America. Chetan Shah is a full time
Bank of America associate and is eligible for 100% matching grants
program offered by Bank of America.
